The Patria Armoured Modular Vehicles 8x8 offers outstanding mobility combined with excellent firepower and protection. The vehicle has so far been selected by Finland, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
The Patria AMV's protection is based on the most modern protection solutions available. Its modular ballistic protection deals with threats of up to 30 mm APFSDS and various IED/EFP levels.
The vehicle also has top-class mine protection of up to 10 kg TNT.
The newest member of Patria Weapon Systems' 120 mm mortar family is the Patria Nemo, a single-barrelled turret that fills the gap between traditional towed mortars and the twin-barrelled AMOS.
The Patria Nemo is an unmanned 120 mm mortar turret with excellent signature management and ballistic protection. As a modern and compact system, the Patria Nemo can easily be mounted onto various tracked and wheeled chassis.
Due to its low weight, the Patria Nemo is also adaptable to lightweight, high-speed vessels. Additionally the Nemo offers semi automatic ammunition handling and a fully automatic laying system.
AMOS, the "Advanced Mortar System", is a double barrelled breech-loading mortar turret designed for mounting on a medium sized wheeled or tracked APC chassis and on fast combat boats.
The gun itself is made by Patria Weapon Systems Oy of Finland, while the turret is made and systems integration carried out by BAe Systems Bofors Ab of Sweden.
Thanks to AMOS' modular concept, support equipment (communication, navigation, ballistic calculation etc.) can be provided by either Bofors or Patria, or standardised customer equipment can be used.
